MY daughter and I were involved in a road traffic collision in Widnes, Lunts Heath Road and Wilmere Lane.
My daughter is a child aged 16.
The 999 call was placed at 5pm – 80 mins later we received assistance.
The police were excellent, they would not move us both due to possible spinal /neck injuries.
When the ambulance arrived we were taken to Warrington Hospital.
Both discharged later that night.
It is a total disgrace that services are cut to the bone and a child has to suffer physical and mental trauma.
I do not accept it was busy. This is not acceptable, managers must have contingency plans in place for such future incidents.
I shall be seeking a formal explanation from North West Ambulance Services and my local MP.
