HERE we are again, Christmas in Warrington town centre.
We have another beautiful Christmas tree, dazzling street lighting and, this year a gigantic illuminated reindeer to celebrate the season and decorate the town for residents and visitors.
What a pity the council has decided, yet again, to erect steel barriers around the tree giving the impression of the need to fend off would-be thugs in the town centre.
If anyone wanted to get to these decorations they’d only have to hop over the barrier.
Why can’t we have a picket fence which does the same job, but looks more aesthetically pleasing and enhances our lovely town?
