THANK you for your leaflet which was put through my door regarding the proposal to relocate your store.

IT is good that the Co-op is taking its time and interest of developing/relocating its store in the Burtonwood Village as I have lived in Burtonwood all my life and seen the village deteriorate and run down with shops, pubs, restaurant closing over the years.

However I must admit this is the worst idea I have seen in my life. Buying a small piece of car park and trying run a supermarket in the middle of the most congested part of the village with the school in front, must be a low cost option.

Whoever thought of this idea of developing/relocating its business to this small plot in the most congested part of the village? is an idiot.

Even Warrington Borough Council has not got a clue for giving you the option, there are better places in the village for relocating your new store, it is not rocket science as there are two or three good options to relocate.

The Co-op could have bought the property in front of the Bridge in Pub which was the Indian restaurant (ideal) or the two pubs which have just closed down The Bridge Inn or Elm Tree (ideal) or the plot on the front of the industrial estate.

All these are prime places for developing/relocating your new store and would generate more income as there is more room, I would gladly welcome the Co-op to any of these areas.

If this development was proposed in the most congested area of the village there would definitely be a fatality in this area.
