RECENTLY I spent 10 days in Warrington Hospital after a motorbike accident.
I received excellent treatment and care. I was for some hours in A&E on a busy Saturday – pressure on beds – but then cared for very well on A9 ward.
My two operations seemed very well planned and executed by my consultant(s) and team, and delivered with a calm, personal focus notwithstanding the workload.
The nursing and other staff on the ward were friendly, caring and attentive day and night, and got on with the job no matter what.
I have a sister who is a nurse elsewhere but until now I did not fully appreciate what they have to contend with. Even the food was good. It was always tasty and there was a good choice.
I take this opportunity to say a big public thank you and well done to all concerned at A9 ward at Warrington hospital, and the NHS.
