IT is with much regret and sadness that after serving the community for 23 years, Mere post office and village store will be closing.
Unfortunately we can no longer survive in the current economic climate.
The post office will close on October 29 and the village store will close on November 12.
The Post Office are doing their best to relocate this office as an ‘outreach service’ to enable postal services to continue albeit on a part-time basis.
We would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all of our loyal customers and many friends that have supported us over the past 23 years and for keeping us here for so long.
We are going to take a well-earned rest and holiday before deciding how to spend our twilight years.
Once again, many, many thanks for your support and all the very best for the future.
