AS I went to put out my bins early this week, I noticed that my shed door was ajar, hanging on by the padlock, all the hinges had been removed.
I immediately realised we had been burgled.
On inspection the low life/scum bag had taken our son-in-law’s Fairley new bike (a white and black GT Aggressor) and a Bosch power drill.
I phoned the police to report the crime, and within an hour a pleasant lady, PCSO Gill Powell arrived. Gill put us at ease, reassuring us and advising us regarding burglar prevention.
On seeing that my 71-year-old husband had a total knee replacement a couple of days previously she immediately contacted Stronger Together.
Within 30 minutes, two lovely wardens, James Macdonald and Dave Maher arrived armed with the equipment to rehang the shed door and fit alarms and sensors for free.
We would just like to take this opportunity of thanking them for their kindness and professionalism shown to us, turning an unpleasant negative experience into a positive one.
