PICTURE the swans moving on the canal protecting their three new born grey fluffy babies, all feeding on the floating algae.
A lovely scene from Sankey Bridge on the Old Liverpool Road.
Now picture the floating cans, plastic bottles and other debris that pollutes the area the swans swim in!
People are using the canal as a waste bin.
Mind you if they did use the waste bins they would be hard pushed to find one in that area.
Vandalism at the bus stop have resulted in the council not replacing the bin there and the two bins that were attached to poles in Hood Lane and Cromwell Way have been removed for a long time and I have been advised that they will not be replaced.
So come on people, stop dumping and complain about having no bins. If you get them, use them.
