I REFER to the recent letter regarding the reduced budget by Warrington Borough Council regarding the Street Scene in the town and the lack of grass cutting Today I was driving along Woolston Grange Avenue and the grass on the central reservation is so high that I had difficulty seeing a woman waiting to cross.

The woman was small in stature and the grass reached her chest – all that could be seen were her shoulders and head.

If this was a small child they simply wouldn’t have been visible to drivers. More importantly the child wouldn’t be able to see the traffic as the grass is above the height of their heads, Should they enter the carriageway I hate to think of the consequences Does the council need a fatality for it decide to abandon this stupid decision?
