I SENT off for my son’s passport seven weeks ago as we travel on July 21.

I have been calling the passport office constantly for three weeks and each time they tell me to call back. One agent told me it would be delivered last Wednesday.

I called them two days ago and they said they cannot provide any updates and would have to send an e-mail to the Liverpool passport office to call me which would be 48 hours.

I called them again today and they said they had no information on me calling and would have to send another email with another 48 hours waiting time.

I asked if I could just go the Liverpool office and pick it up but they said I would have to wait for the Liverpool office to call. I am still waiting for my six-month-old son’s passport now I made a call today to see if I could pay for a fast track or make an appointment to pick it up from the Liverpool office to which they said no. I stated that if I wait until seven days before my flight the fast track takes a week to complete which would be too late. Even with the seven days they don’t deliver on Saturday or Sunday. To this she said the three week completion time is only a guideline and that I shouldn’t have booked my holiday.

After this conversation my wife actually collapsed.
