Cameras catch out offenders

I WAS interested to read Mr Matthew Cleaves’ observations of Bridge Foot.

He is very much correct in his observations and this goes for many traffic light controlled junctions in Warrington.

I fully agree with him regarding having cameras on these junctions as there seem to be many who will not obey the red or amber lights.

Some time ago I wrote to the Guardian regarding red light jumpers on Crosfield island.

The day after my letter was published there was a bad accident there.

If people obey the rules, then as with CCTV, there is no need to get upset about cameras. Crosfield island will undergo changes soon, due to planned roadworks. I just hope planners can include cameras to catch out those who won’t obey the rules of the road.

I think there is a need to get upset about the cameras..It's the people who don't break the rules who are undergoing the same surveillance as those that are.. I might not want my whereabouts recorded.

Better timing of lights at Sankey Green island is needed not a camera. If you watch the lights one set goes green as one set is going red, sort that out before putting cash generating cameras there.

traffic light cameras only take pictures when you go through on red, not really a big privacy issue. Register your next car to a holding company in the Cayman islands.
