I WOULD to thank the two women who reported a customer who took reduced produce from my hand while I was shopping late in Tesco Extra on Tuesday night.
I was using a store electric scooter and pulled up alongside reduced fruit when a female customer took it out of my hand said ‘no price no price’ then took my basket away. I was stunned.
The manager sent a staff member to apologise but I feel I don’t want to shop there again. I watched several people hound a staff member as they pushed the reduced trolley then surrounded and grabbed everything off it. It was awful. I am on benefits and would never behave this way. This has to be dealt with. I am disabled and felt shocked with disbelief – an elderly person may not have coped.
