IT was bedlam at Bridge Foot on Friday afternoon, it took me an hour and a half to get from Victoria Park to Sankey Island as cars, vans, buses and lorries were gridlocked at Bridge Foot.
Horns were sounding and irate exchanges between drivers while bollards were left in two lanes on Sankey Way. When I got there no sign of workmen or work could be seen. Council officers should have had contractors remove bollards. This should not happen again.
