I WAS annoyed and disappointed at last Thursday’s article relating to the termination of the number 48 bus service.
I am a mother of a young baby and I suffer from a serious disability which means that I cannot always walk without pain.
On my good days I walk into Stockton Heath down Fairfield Road but on a bad day I have to rely on the bus.
My disability means that I am not allowed to drive, so public transport is vital to me.
I cannot understand why Warrington Borough Transport has spent money on new buses with fancy screens if it needs to cut lifeline services?
I know of many elderly people that will be unable to go out if this service does in fact cease
Maybe WBT need to stop and think about the fact that not everyone has the luxury of being able to drive. I have never been so disappointed in the bus company.
