AFTER the annual festive bingeathon I think it’s fair to say that the majority of the country are feeling the blues. Heads are a bit groggy and for those of us who unfortunately have to be at work, it’s not the most productive of times.
But surely our ‘hard-pressed’ police officers have better things to do than stand near Mr Smith’s, in a row of six or seven, having a good natter, probably talking about their office party, before stopping motorists to check tax discs.
Three of them were stood around one poor soul’s car examining the disc. Does it really take three to take down the details? I know education standards have been slipping, but surely being able to read and write is a statutory requirement of joining the force. Come on Cheshire Police, surely you’ve got better things to do with your taxpayer-funded time.
