Hicks set for first Wolves appearance

CHRIS Hicks is set to make his first appearance for Warrington Wolves at Salford on Sunday after being named in a 20-man squad for the game.

The former Manly winger has not played a pre-season match so far following an ankle operation but is in the squad along with Kevin Penny, who has been absent with a broken hand and is likely to link up with Matt King on the left for the first time.

Stuart Reardon and Paul Wood are not quite ready to figure following shoulder operations.

Lee Briers, who played in the friendlies against Leigh and Wigan, has a slight back spasm and will not be risked at The Willows, meaning Simon Grix is likely to step in at stand off.

Adrian Morley, Martin Gleeson and Jon Clarke are set for their first pre-season games following international duty.
