Wow, what a night here in Brisbane!
What a game (World Cup Final, Australia 20 New Zealand 34). That's why they say it's the greatest game of all.
Met loads of Wolves fans outside ground. Took loads of pics. Wire fans are the best.
Even met a mate called Ste Griffiths who emigrated to Oz 2 years ago.
The atmosphere was electric, what a result. Tt was great to see the Aussies whinge! What bad losers they are.
It was great to see Tawera Nikau, David Kidwell, Alfie, etc.
Been shopping around Brisbane today, final bits. No more storms yet, we're waiting. It's so humid.
Now 1.30am here, I've had a few beers but won't go to bed because I've got a huntsman spider in my room that I can't catch.
Apparently they're not killers but will hospitilise you for 4 days.
I've had an amazing 2 weeks in Brisbane, I'll never forget it. It's great to see my bro and his family.
It's a great lifestyle here. It's got me thinking.
I will blog some highlights tomorrow, i.e Wayne Bennett calling my dad over at Newcastle Airport.(he'd met him a couple of weeks earlier) He had an audience with the Kiwi players whilst he told them about Brian Bevan.!! The Kiwi players were in disbelief about his 100+ hat-tricks. Maybe that inspired them.
Heard from missus that Christmas is in full swing over there. Being in the heat doesn't really get you in the mood for it. No-one's got their tree up here yet. Bet mine's up at home!
Anyway, I land 8pm wednesday, what do you think the chances are of me making the pub (King and Queen) that night. I've not seen my wife and kids for a couple of weeks. What do you think? re- ugg boots. No brainer. I'll be out.
Havin a night in Seoul on way home, does anyone know of any decent bars to go to?
Anyway, go Kiwis!!
