Parents celebrate their 40 years

SERGEANT Dave Richardson’s parents Clive and Margo, of Lane Ends, Great Sankey, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary last month and are hoping the sun will be shining on Saturday.
Margo, aged 61, said: “When we first met Zoe we thought she was a lovely girl and her two girls are smashing.
“We were in Granada Studios when Dave proposed to Zoe and we couldn’t believe it when he rang (beforehand) to say he would be doing it on air!
“I think everybody there was in tears and Zoe was gobsmacked.”
The retired careworker added she thought Zoe was the ideal partner for her son to ‘settle down’ with.
Margo said: “Zoe has done him a world of good and settled him down. She looked gorgeous in her dress and she will look lovely on Saturday.”
