Michaela Bulmer of Revoir Designer Dress Agency, shows off one of the creations
Business partners Katie Wemyss-Glenister and Michaela Bulmer are helping women pick out their dream dress for less.
The pair from Culcheth have been running a designer clothing exchange for the last year but have recently branched out into wedding dresses.
Revoir Designer Dress Agency and Boutique, Common Lane, Culcheth already has 18 second hand dresses in store after advertising the service for a month in their shop window.
Michaela said: “The original idea for the business was to make a difference to the environment through recycling clothes and wedding dresses.
“We’ve had immaculate dresses given to us worth around £3,000.
“A mix of people have brought them in, some are sad about giving up their wedding dress but feel if they can get a few hundred pounds to spend on the family it’s worth it.”
Former brides are asked by the shop to bring in a picture of them on their wedding day along with the dress.
Michaela added: “When we’re advising people what dress to go for we take into account their personality, where they’re getting married and the season.
“We want customers to feel like it’s still a special occasion buying the dress so we tell them to bring their mum in and we have a glass of fizz.”
