Warrington Wolves have the 'H-Factor'

WOLVES head to the Theatre of Dreams with help from the ‘H’ factor.

Every time Warrington have won the Championship they have beaten a team starting with ‘H’ at some point.

It was Huddersfield in 1947/48 and Halifax in both 1953/54 and 1954/55.

The pattern continued with Wolves knocking out Hull a fortnight ago.

Sounds daft? The help of the ‘H’ was on show in August.

Similarly to Championship success, each time Warrington have won the Challenge Cup they have beaten a team along the run starting with ‘H’.

The trend started in 1905 with Hull KR and continued in 1907 with Hull and Huddersfield, 1950 with Hull KR and Hunslet, 1954 with Halifax, 1974 with Huddersfield and Huyton, 2009 with Hull KR and Huddersfield, 2010 with Huddersfield and 2012 with Huddersfield.

And with Brett ‘H’odgson winning the Lance Todd Trophy as man of the match at Wembley in August, perhaps he or one of Ben Harrison, Chris Hill and Micky Higham could walk away with the Harry Sunderland Trophy as the match winner at Manchester United’s Old Trafford on Saturday.
