SQUAD NEWS: Smith names strongest squad for visit of Wigan Warriors SQUAD NEWS: Smith names strongest squad for visit of Wigan Warriors

WARRINGTON Wolves boss Tony Smith has named his strongest possible squad to take on Super League leaders Wigan Warriors at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Saturday, kick off 4.45pm.

Only the injured Chris Bridge (knee) and the recovering David Solomona are not included in Wolves' 19-man squad, indicating that Smith and his side have serious ambitions to overturn the deficit at the top of the table and defend the League Leaders Shield.

Wolves' win against Saints on Monday has opened a five-point between them and their third-placed local rivals and while Wigan remain three points clear at the top, victory on Saturday gives Smith's men the chance to make up the difference.

Wolves’ head of coaching and rugby Tony Smith said: “The Warriors are a tough opponent.

"We’ve had some great games with them over the years and we are looking forward to another tough challenge.

"It will be another fixture that we’ll need to be up for and I’m sure the players will be on Saturday.”
