WARRINGTON Wolves' leading try scorer Joel Monaghan has the chance to achieve something very special if he can score two tries against Super League champions Leeds Rhinos tonight, Friday.

The prolific Aussie has games against Leeds and Hull FC (June 24) in which to become the player to score 50 tries for the club in the fewest games.

World record try scorer and fellow countryman Brian Bevan took 46 appearances to hit the half century, reaching the landmark against Rochdale Hornets at Wilderspool Stadium in September, 1947.

Joel Monaghan is currently on 48 tries from just 43 matches since joining Wolves from Canberra last year, and is now poised to place his name in the record books if he can continue the form that saw him score five against Widnes Vikings two weeks ago.
