Warrington Wolves set to welcome big names back for Widnes 'derby'
4:50pm Tuesday 22nd May 2012 in Wolves news By Christopher Terris Taylor
TONY Smith has indicated that he will welcome back a number of his big names for the Magic Weekend ‘derby’ clash with Widnes Vikings on Saturday, kick off 4pm.
Following the absence of several senior players in the defeat of Wakefield on Sunday, Smith has admitted that Adrian Morley, Trent Waterhouse, Lee Briers and Joel Monaghan are likely to be included in Wolves’ 17-man match-day squad to take on Denis Betts’ beleaguered Vikings at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium.
Chris Bridge is the only player - outside of long-term injury sufferers Michael Monaghan (knee), David Solomona (leg) and Richie Myler (groin) - that is likely to miss out this weekend, with Smith happy that Matty Blythe has done more than enough to keep hold of his place in the centres.
