LEE Briers and Trent Waterhouse have been rested for Warrington Wolves' clash with Wakefield Trinity Wildcats at Belle Vue, kick off 3.30pm.

Stefan Ratchford makes his first appearance since suffering a shoulder injury 11 weeks ago, replacing Briers alongside Gareth O'Brien in the halves.

Tyrone McCarthy moves into the back row to fill the gap left by Waterhouse, with 17-year-old second row Ben Currie earning a place on the bench.

Rhys Williams returns to the wing, partnered by centre Matty Blythe, while Simon Grix is once again named on the bench to act as back-up for starting hooker Micky Higham.

Chris Hill and Paul Wood start in the front row, with fellow props Mike Cooper and Garreth Carvell named on the bench.
