BRADFORD Bulls player John Bateman has been suspended for three matches and fined £300 after the RFL Disciplinary Committee found him guilty of making a Grade D dangerous tackle on Warrington Wolves' Brett Hodgson in the Carnegie Challenge Cup fifth round tie on Saturday, April 28.

Bateman, who pleaded not guilty to the offence, was deemed to have recklessly used his bodyweight to force Hodgson’s head and neck towards his chest and shoulders, putting pressure on the neck and risking serious injury.
