WARRINGTON Wolves' fixture against Salford City Reds this weekend will see the official launch of a new book commemorating the career of past player Jack Fish.

"Jack Fish - A Rugby League Superstar" traces his career from his schooldays in Runcorn to his exploits on the wing for Warrington, Lancashire and England when he played in four Challenge Cup finals in the space of seven seasons.

The book will be launched on Sunday by Gary Slater, who completed the authorised biography, and Jack's granddaughter Barbara Bibby.

They will be in the WolfWare store between 12.30pm and 1.15pm, signing copies of the book priced at £11.95.

Members of Jack Fish's family will be in attendance and will officially present the club with a piece of Rugby League history, donating Jack's 1902/03 Lancashire cap and 1901/02 South West Lancashire Cup winners medal.

These items will then be displayed at The Halliwell Jones Stadium alongside other club memorabilia.

The 1901/02 South West Lancashire Cup was Warrington's first trophy following the foundation of the Northern Union in 1895.

Warrington beat Widnes 7-2 in the final and Jack Fish scored all Warrington's points with a try and two goals.
