WOLVES have confirmed a second pre-season friendly as preparations for the 2018 Super League season continue.

The Wire will face their partner club, Championship side Rochdale Hornets, at the Crown Oil Arena on Saturday, January 13.

It is the second friendly to be confirmed ahead of the new season, with new head coach Steve Price taking his side to Widnes for the annual festive fixture on Friday, December 29.

Hornets formed part of Wolves’ preparations for the 2017 season, with The Wire winning 24-22 at the Manchester Regional Arena in January.

Before that, Wolves chief executive Karl Fitzpatrick confirmed the players would be heading to an army camp as part of their pre-season training.

"The guys are going away on an army camp on December 21," he said.

"The players haven’t been on an army camp for some time, so I think that will be very well received."

For the past few seasons, Wolves have headed to Tenerife for a warm-weather training camp but this will not take place this season.
