FOUR Wolves players have been named in the England squad for the Rugby League World Cup.

Chris Hill, Ben Currie, Kevin Brown and Stefan Ratchford are all in Wayne Bennett's 24-man squad for the tournament in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.

Uncapped Currie, who played for Ireland in the last World Cup in 2013, features despite having played only four games for The Wire this season due to two separate knee injuries.

Hill, who has gained 19 caps, is the least surprising inclusion having established himself as a key front-rower for the national side.

Ratchford and Brown both keep their places in the squad having featured as late call-ups for the mid-season Test against Samoa in May.

Daryl Clark and Mike Cooper, who were both members of the Elite Performance Squad, both miss out.
