SCRUM half Dec Patton says there are key issues for Wolves to get right if they are to defeat St Helens tomorrow and book a place in the Grand Final at Old Trafford against Wigan Warriors or Hull FC on Saturday, October 8.

“It’ll be even tougher," said the 21-year-old, comparing the challenge to the victory that secured the League Leaders' Shield at Hull on Friday.

"We need to have the same attitude as we did at Hull.

“Don’t go away from the game plan, don’t start throwing silly passes, but break our opponents down like we know we can.

“With Hull being a top side, we’ve shown we can do it.”

The Wire have a poor home record against St Helens but full back or winger Matty Russell says that will play no part in this contest.

“History doesn’t matter when it’s a semi final," he said.

"Whether it’s home or away, it doesn’t matter. Whoever switches on, on the night, will win the game and get to the Grand Final."
