WOLVES look set to be without at least two key players for Friday’s crunch clash with Wigan Warriors.

The knee injury suffered by scrum-half Chris Sandow in the Challenge Cup Final defeat to Hull FC last month has not healed sufficiently for him to take part, with the club tweeting that he will instead be a guest in the hospitality suites.

Prop Ryan Bailey also seemed to confirm his unavailability on Twitter, saying he was “gutted” to be missing out on the clash with Shaun Wane’s side.

Victory for The Wire at The Halliwell Jones Stadium would secure the League Leaders Shield, their first silverware since 2012.

After last Friday’s 30-12 win over Widnes, head of coaching and rugby Tony Smith said he was confident of Daryl Clark and Joe Westerman returning to the fold for the Wigan game.

Smith will confirm his squad for the game tomorrow, Wednesday, at 2pm.
