THE RFL’S Match Review Panel have ruled on two incidents involving Wolves players from Friday night’s victory over Widnes Vikings.
Stand-off Kurt Gidley has been clear of further action after the panel decided not to charge him with a dangerous throw.
The incident was in the 35th minute and the panel ruled Gidley’s tackle on Vikings full-back Rhys Hanbury was controlled and that the opponent landed safely.
Meanwhile, second rower Jack Hughes will also escape a charge of dangerous contact after a 60th-minute incident involving Widnes’ Lloyd White.
The panel decided Hughes’ pressure on the neck of the Vikings hooker was ‘incidental’ and that he did not use a ‘crusher’ technique.
