WEMBLEY: Hewer to take charge of cup final
THE RFL have confirmed Gareth Hewer as the referee for Saturday’s Challenge Cup Final between Wolves and Hull FC at Wembley.
The 34-year-old part-time official will take charge of a major final for the first time in his twelve-year officiating career.
He was the man in the middle when Wolves confirmed their place at Wembley with a 56-12 semi final win over Wakefield last month.
Hewer will be assisted by touch judges Mark Craven and Mike Woodhead, while Ben Thaler will serve as the video referee.
