MATTY Blythe is set for a shock return to Warrington Wolves for the 2017 campaign.

His contract at Championship club Bradford Bulls, whom he joined from Wolves at the end of 2012, expires at the end of this season and a player overhaul is taking place at Odsal under coach Rohan Smith, nephew of Wolves boss Tony.

The 27-year-old Blythe, who can play centre or in the back row, scored 12 tries in 60 appearances before departing to the Bulls, initially on loan.
