IT was great to get two wins in our last two games of the regular season over Castleford Tigers and Huddersfield Giants.

It means we are just a point behind Hull and we have a little bit of a gap to fourth which helps us in the Super 8s and gives us confidence for the season to come.

It is also all systems go for the semi-final against Wakefield on Saturday and you can feel the excitement building which is great for the whole town.

We have also, without being presumptuous, had to start putting things in place for Wembley as well.

Things like travel and hotels get booked up early so you have to be prepared.

We have put a lot of work in over the past few years and we have been disappointed so we are hoping for better this year.

If we do win it will be all systems go from Saturday night until Tuesday, with tickets available almost immediately after the final whistle.

But that is why we do what we do.

Looking at the Super 8 fixtures, they could not have worked out much better.

We have Wigan, St Helens and Widnes at home which are always three of our bigger gates.

We would probably have preferred to play Catalan at home but we started discussions with the RFL straightaway to try to make sure it was not the week before a possible Wembley date.

We are also looking at travelling in and out on the same day for the players.

But we know the fans enjoy their trip to Perpignan and it provides an extra element of excitement before the end of the season to have the France trip.

While this is going on, we are also preparing ourselves for next year and beyond.

Plans are in place to launch membership for 2017 in September with renewals in October, early birds in November and kit launch at the Christmas light switch-on.

We are also looking at our hospitality deals for 2017 already and we are in discussions with commercial partners for the 2018 to 2022 period.

And that is the beauty of what we do.

We are planning for Saturday but at the same time looking to 2017 and beyond.

It is an incredibly exciting period for the Warrington Wolves.
