Facebook:

Ian Jd Andrews: not playing any where near as well as we were earlier in the season, but I think I see Smithys plan, hes resting Gidley who has been playing injured for most of the season and unable to train between matches and rotating the youngsters through the squad to rest other players ready for the playoffs ..so at this point even an ugly win is a win and the defence still looks strong

Mark Christopher Moore: No idea what Westerman has to do to get a MoM award?

Richard Clancy: Westerman was the stand out player for me, absoute beast. Best game in a Wire shirt from him

Tony Smith, post-match press conference:

“We’re doing okay. Number one in attack and number one in defence, so we’re not a bad team despite not sitting at the top at the moment. We’re still fighting for that.

“There’s still a bit of time to go and there’s a bit of fight left in us yet.”
