WARRINGTON Wolves’ final hurdle on the road to Wembley will be Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.
Tony Smith’s men have been paired with Wildcats in the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup semi finals on the weekend of July 29-30.
Wildcats are coached by Chris Chester, who masterminded Hull KR's semi-final success over The Wire at Headingley last year.
The other semi final will be contested between Wigan Warriors and Hull FC.
Wolves booked their place in the last four with a nervy 20-18 win against Widnes Vikings at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Wakefield Trinity Wildcats were already in the hat by then, having knocked out Huddersfield Giants 28-16 at the John Smith’s Stadium on Thursday.
Super League leaders Hull FC ended Catalans Dragons’ Wembley dreams at the KC Stadium 22-8 this afternoon, while Wigan Warriors bowled over Castleford Tigers 26-12 in this weekend’s final tie at the DW Stadium.
Venues and date are to be confirmed in the forthcoming days, while the final at Wembley will take place on Saturday, August 27.
