IT is fair to say the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats are a completely different animal to when Wolves last came across them in February.

Back then, under the charge of Tony Smith’s brother Brian, the 34-16 defeat at The Halliwell Jones Stadium was the first of three consecutive losses which led to the coach’s resignation.

Former Hull KR chief Chris Chester was appointed his replacement and has overseen a huge turnaround at Belle Vue, winning five of his six Super League games in charge including a 62-0 thrashing of Wigan.

Sitting seventh in the Super League table and into the quarter-finals of the Challenge Cup, all is currently rosey in the Wildcats’ garden.

Winger Tom Johnstone has grabbed most of the headlines, topping the try charts with eight so far and his form has prompted rumours of a post-season move to Wigan.

Fellow youngsters Reece Lyne and Mat Ashurst have also caught the eye this season, while Ben Jones-Bishop is showing signs of his best form.

Captain Danny Kirmond has been reliable as ever, while the half-back pairing of Jacob Miller and Liam Finn has flourished, with the former being nominated for April’s Super League Player of the Month award.

However, Chester does have a few suspension worries ahead of Sunday's clash, with hooker Scott Moore and prop Andy Yates both missing out.

Moore picked up a two-game ban for his red card against Widnes last month, while Yates will be missing for three games after he was charged with a dangerous tackle on Toulouse's Kuni Minga in their Challenge Cup game last weekend
