MAY is an unusual month in the way the fixtures have fallen as we only have one home game, against Leeds on May 27.

With the Challenge Cup and the Magic Weekend though, there is plenty to look forward to.

Oldham obviously did extremely well against Hull KR but nevertheless it is a good draw for us, although it is not a game we will be complacent about.

Then a couple of weeks later we have the Magic Weekend in Newcastle which is always a fantastic experience.

It is well documented, but it was watching videos of fans in the stands at Manchester at Magic Weekend, shown to me by my boys, which proved to be a massive draw in deciding to come to Warrington.

It is a unique atmosphere and with our game with Castleford being sandwiched between Wigan and Leeds later on and Salford v Widnes, we have the prime spot.

I am sure it will be like a home game for us at St James’ Park.

Our home support has been unbelievable this year with a sell-out against Widnes and a big crowd against Saints, but what has been very noticeable has been the strength of our away support.

There have been massive numbers at Widnes, Salford (which was one of those ‘I was there moments’ and Mike Lomax (director) and I sat with the away fans at Wigan.

It really does lift the team and have an impact on our side when the players see and hear such great support.

We have had our first two community club days, with five more to come throughout the season.

And we want to say a big thank you to Woolston at the Wigan game and Crosfields at the Saints game for their hard work.

Before the season we challenged the clubs in the community to recommend as many members as possible with the winners getting to choose the game where they would get involved.

We are looking forward to the other club’s involvement before the end of the season.

The Leeds game should be a bit special.

We are hoping to reunite the 1986 Premiership side for that match.

It is 30 years since Warrington beat Halifax and it is a good reason to celebrate.

The supporter’s club is putting on an event at the Orford hub the night before so it promises to be a great occasion.
