WOLVES will be looking to get themselves back to winning ways when they travel the short distance to face an equally out-of-sorts Widnes Vikings tonight, Friday.

Like Tony Smith’s side, Vikings are desperate to get back to winning ways in Super League after a recent dip in form, which began with their 28-10 defeat at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on Good Friday.

Denis Betts’ side have lost all three of their Super League games since then but got themselves a morale-boosting 62-6 win over League One leaders Rochdale in the Challenge Cup at the weekend.

Influential skipper Kevin Brown continued his return from injury by scoring a hat-trick in that game and he looks set to marshal the side having missed the Good Friday clash with Wolves.

Betts was able to rest players such as Rhys Hanbury, Charly Runciman and Eamonn O’Carroll for the cup game and they are all set to play a part on Friday alongside Aaron Heremaia, Chris Houston and Setaimata Sa.

A familiar face in the Vikings line-up will be Chris Bridge, the former Wire man who is set to face his old employers for the first time since leaving in the off-season.

After a stunning start to the season in which they won six of their first seven games, Vikings suffered four consecutive league defeats to Wolves, St Helens, Catalans and Castleford.

However, they have been boosted in recent weeks by the news that many of their stars have committed their futures to the club by signing new deals.

Hanbury, O’Carroll, Stefan Marsh and Warringtonian Joe Mellor are just a few of the names to pen new contracts at the Select Security Stadium.

Vikings 19-man squad: Bridge, Brown, Cahill, Chamberlain, Dean, Dudson, Hanbury, Heremaia, Houston, Leuluai, Manuokafoa, Marsh, Mellor, O’Carroll, Runciman, Sa, Thompson, White, Whitley.

Wolves 19-man squad: Atkins, Clark, Cox, Currie, Evans, Gidley, Hill, Hughes, Johnson, Jullien, King, Tom Lineham, Penny, Ratchford, Russell, Sims, Westerman, Westwood, Wilde.
