WARRINGTON Wolves' new cheerleaders will be ambassadors for the club's new official nutrition partner.

The club have announced a partnership with online sports nutrition supplier, Myprotein.com, as part of on-going developments for the 2016 season.

The Wire will be utilising their range of performance nutrition products, along with clothing and training accessories to fuel the club next season.

Myprotein is planning a number of initiatives as part of the partnership.

One of these is to work with the Wolves to revolutionise the club’s cheerleading squad, which will be known as the Myprotein Wirettes. The search is beginning for new members, starting at this Saturday’s Members Day at Old Market Square.

Myprotein will be leading the search for local talent to join the Wirettes, who will act as ambassadors for the brand, along with having a much more involved presence at The Halliwell Jones Stadium, as well as at away fixtures.

Max Holland, team sponsorship manager for Myprotein, said: “I’m thrilled to have finalised this deal with Warrington Wolves.

"The partnership will incorporate all aspects of performance within the club.

"The Wirettes will play a key role in that, as will our relationship with the players and coaching staff, and we’ve got a lot of exciting projects in the pipeline on that side of things.

"We’re based just outside of Warrington and both myself and a lot of the team members at Myprotein are already supporters of the club, so we’re committed to having a very hands-on relationship, focused on taking The Wire to the top of Super League, both on the field and off it.”

Chloe Bennett, marketing manager for Warrington Wolves, added: “This is a very exciting partnership and one that truly encompasses performance and nutrition on and off the pitch.

"As Max highlights, it’s quite extensive starting with a focus on the recruitment of our brand new team of cheerleaders; the Myprotein Wirettes.

“As revealed in our supporters’ engagement survey back in May this year, our cheerleading and match-day operation was a key area supporters felt we could improve on.

"With this feedback being at the core of all the club’s projects, we’re thrilled to welcome Myprotein on board to help us achieve what we feel will be the best cheerleading operation in Super League.

"In addition to first-class performances on match days home and away, the Myprotein Wirettes will be a strong squad of female ambassadors for both brands and provide an important link to fitness, health and nutrition.”

Warrington Wolves and Myprotein will be in Golden Square Shopping Centre in the Old Market Square on Saturday 3 October, to begin the search for home-grown talent.
