dnk: Fantastic effort tonight the players leaving played like it was their first game for Warrington. Jack Johnson looks to be a player and super Benny was hard hitting for the full 80. cant believe 5 disallowed tries, ref was weak Saints moaned too much when we scored and Ref put every 50/50 to the video ref. not good for the game. Chris Sandow looked sharp tonight cant wait for next season now .Good luck to the players leaving ....

keithr21: Like many supporters I have been critical of some of the teams performances this season but tonight they were outstanding. Every player deserved to be man of the match, you have to wonder what has happened in the last few weeks to change the team so much, maybe it was no pressure. Good luck to all the players moving on and lets hope that we can build on more of the same for next season, as we have some good players coming in. The referee was again very poor, they should be able to make a decision without referring to the video ref every time a try is scored.

pennstate: Outstanding, what an effort from everyone. The forwards bullied the saints and Myler was the best half back out there. Sandow was better but his tackling needs some work. Currie and Atkins were watertight, and ran so hard. I do think we get a rough deal from the video ref, the time given to look at the Atkins try seemed over the top! Last word, how good is Asotasi once he knew he was going, he has all the skills and seemed to love it!

Press conference:

Tony Smith: “It’s nice to back up a good performance from last week with another good performance.

“It’s probably what we’ve lacked this year – that consistency in putting back-to-backs together so it’s nice to do that. A nice way to finish, particularly for the players who are leaving our club.

“And I think it shows the spirit in the club even when we don’t reach the finals. It shows it does matter, whether you’re playing in finals or not – every minute matters.

“Even those minutes that you’re waiting for the video ref. It’s a 90-minute game nowadays.”
