WARRINGTON players will have a month to recuperate before starting training earlier than usual for the 2016 season.
Their new recruits will then join the squad in a month’s time.
“We’re only having a month off this year,” said head of coaching and rugby Tony Smith.
“We’re going to have testing and our end of season round ups next week. Then we’ve got the membership drive in Golden Square on the Saturday and then they’ve got a month off.
“It’ll recharge everybody’s batteries; some need it more than others. Generally speaking usually the players have about six weeks off.
“It’s a bit shorter this time. We’re going to get in and get some hard work done before Christmas.”
