WOLVES fans, players and head coach Tony Smith comment on the loss at Castleford.

warringtonguardian.co.uk:

Wires on the tele: Refereeing v poor again for 2nd week running. However - ive always enjoyed watching Warrington and the entertaining way they play. Tonight boring. No runners off the ball and no creativity. High ball on the 5th tackle everytime and predictable.

Crofty11: Who is Smith going to blame now Gareth O'brian dropped, if Sandow , a NRL player can't get that team working together how was a young lad with limited experience suppose to. Very disillusioned with all the goings on & team selections at Warrington.

olneyone: Awkward one - JOEL not turned up in last few matches - lack of form or past it - not for me to say!! - nice to see kev penny given a go...but for goodness sake give him half chnce!.....but the bottom line for me is where is the breakthrough going to come from and i have to say I haven't a clue unless it seems a fluke - very worrying - nothing exciting about wire this year, unlike other years

keithr21: Most of this season we have just not been good enough, we get the same excuses week after week. The problems have been there for all to see, to many errors, conceding to many penalties, ill discipline, poor defence, unable to close out a game, poor game plans and to many weak links in the team. This must be down to the coaching and surprisingly has been allowed to go on all season. We don’t seem to have a leader on the park and once we get behind in a game we seem to panic and make even more mistakes.

ninearches: this team has been in a steady decline for the last few years but ,this year ,our under achievements have been more noticeable .We seemed to be out enthused last night & i wonder about our fitness levels. To be fair ,Daryl Powell is a great motivator & has done well with his playing staff.

roquetas: Too many errors. Two many ref mistakes. Justin carney should have walked. If it had been benny slapping a castleford player he'd have been given a yellow card.

Twitter:

paul burrows (@PaulbuzzPaul): to many players goin through the motions .sums our season up

Peter Riley (@peter__riley): season over.. changes needed Turbo powered

Tommy (@FollowDwolves): Did Richard Bransons time machine work on me ? I'm sure it's the 90s wire all over again.

Chris Hill: (@Chrishilly1987): Wow sore

Tony Smith, press conference:

“I thought we were good in the first half, we'd dominated territory but we just didn’t dominate scoreline. They got in our end a couple of times and took their opportunities. We probably had more field position to create more. Second half I thought we weren’t great, we were a bit sloppy and a bit all over the place.

“Enthusiasm is a huge thing and they out-enthused us. Other than that it was pretty basic footy, but we threw some pretty basic stuff at them too. Enthusiasm and willingness to get there, they edged it.

“It can happen on a day, you can have some flatness. We had a couple of boys who were a bit flat, a bit below their best."
