CASTLEFORD Tigers will be looking to effectively end the challenge of Warrington Wolves for the fourth play-offs spot when the sides meet tonight, Thursday.

Warrington won the last meeting between the two just over a fortnight ago, putting 44 points on their hosts at The Mend-A-Hose Jungle.

But they lost influential forward Ben Westwood to a two-match ban following a shoulder charge on Tigers’ Luke Gale that afternoon.

Westwood will return to the Wolves side tonight having watched his teammates crash out of the Challenge Cup in the semi final and suffer a heavy defeat to Leeds Rhinos.

Daryl Powell’s outfit won their only fixture since defeat against Warrington, but it was a victory that moved them four points clear of Wolves.

A 36-30 success against Hull FC put the Yorkshire side level with Huddersfield Giants, although they remain in fifth on points difference.

Paul McShane misses out this week despite joining theTigers ranks since the sides last met, signing in a swap deal that saw Scott Moore heading to Wakefield.

Grant Millington is Tigers’ top tackler this season with 753 also putting him just behind Wolves’ Chris Hill in fifth in the Super League rankings. Cas will hope he can help stem Wolves’ attack.
