IT is a quick return to Headingley for Warrington Wolves tonight as Leeds Rhinos host Tony Smith’s side.

Having let The Wire train on their pitch the day before the Challenge Cup semi final last week, the hosts are unlikely to show such generosity this time around.

Brian McDermott’s outfit topped the Super League table at the end of the regular season and could well be on for a treble.

If they can maintain their form then the League Leaders’ Shield, Grand Final Trophy and a Challenge Cup success is on the cards.

But Rhinos will be wary of a Warrington side desperate to close the gap on a play-offs place and having already completed a Super League double over them.

Smith’s former employers were beaten 18-6 at The Halliwell Jones Stadium in March, while Warrington ran out 29-10 winners at Headingley on a Friday night in April.

Jamie Jones-Buchanan will not feature for the hosts following a quad injury that could sideline him into next season.

But Leeds possess plenty of firepower, with Kallum Watkins, 13, and Ryan Hall, 12, among the tries this season and helping Rhinos head into the fixture on a three-game winning streak – toppling Saints, Catalans and Salford.
