CHRIS Sandow is now a Wire.

But do you remember all these Aussie half backs from history - and do you agree with our ratings for them?

And who would you add to the list?

1 Alfie Langer

Hard to start any list without one of the greatest number 7s to come out of Australia, Alife Langer. Wolves may not have won any silverware during his time at Wilderspool but he still lit up Super League. Who can forget the comeback win over Bradford or his ball steal try against St Helens?

Warrington Guardian:

Rating: 9/10 Was there a week where Langer wasn't man of the match?

2 Bobby Fulton

He may have only played for Warrington for a small period in the late 1960s, but Bobby Fulton was born in Stockton Heath.

A legend of the game, he played and coached Australia on more than 30 occasions and was named as one of Australia's greatest players of the 20th century.

Warrington Guardian:

Rating: As a Warrington player 7/10 as a rugby league legend 10/10

3 Andrew Johns

A neck injury prevented his Warrington days from being longer than a cameo. But what a cameo. He has been back to The Halliwell Jones since passing on some coaching trips

Warrington Guardian: Andrew Johns, very happy with his debut performance for Wolves against Leeds at The Halliwell Jones Stadium. Pictures: MIKE BODEN

Rating: Still don't think there has been a night to rival that debut Halliwell Jones win over Leeds. Shame the fun ended weeks later at home to Hull 8/10

4 Nathan Wood

Brought in from Wakefield, he became a firm fans' favourite for his larger than life character. Played in the mid 2000s at both Wilderspool and The Halliwell Jones. He scored the first try at the new ground in a win over Wakefield

Warrington Guardian:

7/10 An extra point for his hot dog inspired West Stand celebration at The Halliwell Jones

5 Matt Rodwell

Nicknamed the Rocket, and not just for his speedy exit in 2002. He signed as captain in late 2001 but retired the following year

Warrington Guardian:

Maybe forcing the lad to play in the mud at Barrow wasn't the best idea for his long term career 2/10

6 Greg Mackey

Played two spells at Warrington, memorably making his debut in a win at Wigan in his first stint. Sadly lost his battle with cancer in 2014.

Warrington Guardian:

Helped win the Lancashire Cup for Warrington with a win over Oldham in 1989 8/10

7 Michael Sullivan

Known as Sully he came to Warrington following problems Down Under. Used also as a hooker, he scored nine tries in 42 appearances over the 2006 and 2007 seasons.

Warrington Guardian:

Was named one of the sport's most eligible bachelors in 2001 - less good at Warrington though 3/10

8 Graham Appo

Lightning feet, he started his Wolves career with a bang when covering for the injured Lee Briers. He was named in the Super League dream team in 2003.

Warrington Guardian:

What a talent but didn't always deliver 6/10

9 Michael Monaghan

Easy to forget with his stellar performances at hooker that Michael Monaghan signed for Wolves as a half back from Manly and played at seven in the 2010 Challenge Cup final win over Leeds.

Warrington Guardian:

6/10 as a scrum half, 9/10 as hooker

10 Scott Wilson

The late 1990s were not exactly heady days at the Wolves. Money problems and little success on the pitch. Former Cronulla man Scott Wilson did little to turn the tide

Warrington Guardian:

Not a stand out stand-off 3/10

11 Phil Blake

Played two seasons at Warrington in the 1980s, finishing top try scorer in each.

Warrington Guardian:

44 tries in 41 games are hard to argue with 8/10
