WOLVES now know they will play three home games and four away fixtures in the second phase of the Super League season.

Huddersfield Giants' 14-12 win against Catalans Dragons in Perpignan on Saturday and then Castleford Tigers' defeat of Wakefield on Sunday means Wolves can not finisher higher than sixth ahead of the start of the Super 8s.

Teams that finish in the top four will play four homes games and three away, and vice versa for those finishing fifth to eighth.

Wolves' top-eight position was guaranteed on Friday when Hull KR fell out of the reckoning with defeat to Hull.

The Super 8s second phase will start the weekend after Wolves' Challenge Cup semi-final clash with Hull KR at Headingley, which is scheduled for a 12.45pm kick off on Saturday, August 1.

Warrington and their top-eight rivals will play each other once more in the Super 8s phase and at the end of those additional seven rounds the teams holding the top four spots in the table will go into the semi-finals for a straight play-off to the Grand Final at Old Trafford.

Here's the formula for who will play who in the Super 8s, with teams' rankings set after 23 rounds of Super League:
