DEWSBURY Rams’ side against Warrington Wolves tonight in the Challenge Cup sixth round will be missing some of its senior players.

Their Australian head coach Glenn Morrison, the former Bradford Bulls and Wakefield Trinity Wildcats back rower, says he could be without as many 14 senior players for the Rams’ next two fixtures, with a trip to Sheffield Eagles to follow in the Championship on Tuesday.

Injuries, international duty and unavailability through being cup tied mean Morrison may hand out debuts to young members of his squad.

“All of the boys are desperate to play in both matches but most of them won’t make it,” said the Rams boss.

Australian former Brisbane Broncos and Hull FC scrum half Brett Seymour is cup tied having played for Whitehaven in a fourth-round loss to Featherstone, as is Wayne Godwin who answered a hooking crisis for Salford Red Devils by playing on loan in the fifth round at Leigh Centurions.

Kieran Hyde, Tom Hemingway and James Delaney have suffered knee injuries in recent weeks, which rules them out. Jonathan Schofield is sidelined with a torn hamstring.

In the 40-4 home win against Hunslet at the weekend, former Bradford, Wigan and Harlequins centre Karl Pryce and Aaron Brown left the field with injuries, while Widnesian half back Anthony Thackeray has been playing with a groin problem for the past few weeks.

Ex-Hull FC and Bradford three-quarter Jason Crookes needed pain-killing injections on Sunday after missing the previous two weeks, while Stephen Nash, Sam Wood and Zach Johnson are all reported to be still unavailable.

Ryan Fieldhouse, son of Woolston Rovers head coach John, played his first game for nine months when making his Dewsbury debut at full back on Sunday but suffered swelling to his knee towards the back end and was withdrawn.

Jason Muranka is unavailable due to being on international duty with Serbia this weekend.
