WARRINGTON Wolves visit Dewsbury Rams’ The Tetley’s Stadium for the first time tonight, Friday.

The Championship side have occupied the stadium for 21 years since it was built in 1994 to replace Crown Flatt.

In fact, Wolves have not visited Dewsbury in a Challenge Cup fixture for more than 30 years, when they progressed from the second round, 18-10, in 1981.

Dewsbury are without a win against Warrington in the competition since 1929, and without a home victory in the competition against the Wolves since 1922.

Tony Smith has warned his side against complacency heading into Friday’s fixture, knowing the Dewsbury side boasts plenty of Super League experience.

Former Bradford and Wigan man Karl Pryce, brother of Leon, is one to look out for – the 28-year-old winger stands at 6ft 7in.

Australian half back Brett Seymour, who began his career with Brisbane Broncos, also spent time in Super League with Hull FC. Although cup-tied, having played for Whitehaven against Featherstone in the fourth round, he will have had plenty to say behind the scenes this week

Meanwhile, Woolston Rovers fans will recognise Dewsbury full back Ryan Fieldhouse, he used to play in green and gold and is the son of current head coach John.

Dewsbury currently sit fifth in the Championship and beat Newcastle Thunder and Hunslet Hawks to reach this stage.
