WARRINGTON Wolves' head of youth, junior recruitment and development Ben Lazenby will leave the club on May 8 to take up a role in rugby union.

Lazenby joined the club in 2008 as player performance manager on the back of previous coaching and development roles within the Rugby Football League.

He stepped up into his current position as head of youth development in November 2013.

A Wolves statement said: "Ben leaves a strong and lasting legacy behind at the club having built strong foundations for the future of developing player talent.

"25 youth players have progressed to full time contracts during his time at the club and this is testament to his hard work and efforts.

"All at Warrington Wolves would like to wish him and his family all the best for the future."
