WARRINGTON Wolves will not be Sam Tomkins' destination on his return to Super League.
The England full back has agreed a release from his deal with New Zealand Warriors to return to the UK after revealing he is homesick.
Interest has gathered over the past few days on which club Tomkins will join, with Wolves and Leeds Rhinos being linked to his services along with his former club Wigan Warriors.
But Warrington Guardian can confirm he will not be joining Wolves.
Tomkins was a Warrington Wolves supporter as a youngster but he will be playing against them again next season in a team yet to be announced although it is understood a deal has been done and will be revealed very soon.
Wolves were interested in signing him but he has elected to go elsewhere.
